Skincare and beauty experts at Landys Chemist analyzed public search trends and interest to identify the biggest brands and trends in the skincare industry this year.
 
There are millions of different skincare products available to consumers in their quest for perfect skin, with some opting for natural-based treatments for those more sensitive complexions, and others following trends of the time to trial new viral products.
 
But which products are the most popular in 2023?

Top 10 Most Popular Skincare Products in 2023

Ranking as the most popular skincare product of 2023 is the viral Elemis cleansing balm with a whopping 356,700 Google searches for the product between March 2022 and February 2023. It is the best-selling product for Elemis and transforms into three unique textures. The first is a nourishing balm, the second a cleansing oil, and finally a hydrating cleansing milk.
 
The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream ranks as the second most popular skincare product with 292,300 Google searches. The magic cream went viral on social media and is one of Charlotte Tilbury’s premium products. The Magic Cream is highly praised for its formula that floods skin with moisture and leaves the skin hydrated and plumped. 
 
Ranking as the third most popular skincare product is The Ordinary’s Niacinamide serum with 170,700 Google searches. The skincare company offers a collection of treatments based on ingredients that are proven to help nourish and protect the skin. Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3 found in many foods and often used in dietary supplements, when applied to the skin it is useful in fighting acne and gives skin a clearer complexion.
